Velvet gray is a soft, buttery gray that stops well short of stark white and keeps its warmth in any light. It’s a polyester velour with a short, dense pile, rated 4 out of 5 for durability—soft enough to notice the moment you touch it, sturdy enough to sit on every day. As a soft neutral it layers easily with linen, jute, and pale wood; set it against black metal instead and it turns crisp and graphic. When you run your hand across it, the surface has that familiar velvet-like touch. It's smooth, but not shiny or slick. More matte and relaxed. The brushing gives it that broken-in feel right away.
