Our Country House Herringbone Weave Chair & Sofa Slipcover is what happens when classic style meets real-life living. The herringbone pattern brings a subtle, tailored look—think of your favorite tweed jacket, but for your living room. It’s soft, sturdy, and made to handle everything from movie marathons to the occasional popcorn spill. Fits snug, washes up easy, and keeps your furniture looking sharp, even if your dog thinks the sofa is his personal throne. We designed it for the way you actually live: comfort, style, and a little peace of mind, all in one.

A tight herringbone weave offers a refined texture that's easy to appreciate up close. The distinctive woven pattern adds visual depth and character, while the dense construction keeps the surface smooth and comfortable to the touch. It feels substantial without being heavy, striking a balance between casual warmth and tailored sophistication. The result is a fabric that feels both inviting and thoughtfully crafted.

Durability Rating

Durability Rating

Standard upholstery-grade fabric.

Durability
The tight weave makes this fabric a dependable choice for everyday furniture. Its dense construction helps resist abrasion, pilling, and general wear better than more open-weave fabrics, while the herringbone pattern naturally helps disguise minor signs of use over time. It performs well in active households and offers a nice combination of durability and visual interest without sacrificing comfort.
Care Info
For routine care, vacuum occasionally using an upholstery attachment to remove dust and debris from the weave. Blot spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth, avoiding excessive rubbing. Dry clean only.

Any size. Any style.

FAQs

Most slipcovers are made in about 5 business days in our Queens, NY workshop. Once it’s finished, we ship it right out. (We're New Yorkers so we've got to move fast.)

We offer free ground shipping on most orders. In many cases, you’ll have your new slipcover in as little as two weeks from the time you order.

Pretty much anything. Standard sofas, loveseats, sofa beds, chairs, sectionals, unusual shapes—we’ve seen a lot over the years. If you’re unsure, just send a few photos to sales@slipcovershop.com and we’ll let you know what’s possible. Some fabrics work better for wingbacks, for example, so we can point you in the right direction.

We can't do recliners, unfortunately (hard to sew around so many moving parts).

People choose a custom slipcover when they want their furniture to look great and last for years—not covered up. It’s the right move for odd sizes, loose or attached cushions, T-shaped seats, or anything a one-size cover can’t handle. It’s also how you refresh a worn sofa, protect it from pets or kids, match a new room, or upgrade the fabric without reupholstering. Each piece is made to your exact measurements, so the fit is clean, secure, and built to last.

Don’t worry. We don’t rely on measurements alone.

We also review your photos, tracings, and other details to double-check everything before your cover is made. Our team has made thousands of slipcovers and knows what to look for.

If you’d like help, we can schedule a quick video call and walk you through the whole process step-by-step. We’ll show you exactly what to measure and how to do it. Just give us a ring or email us at sales@slipcovershop.com.

We stand behind every cover we make.

If you’re not in love with the fit, send it back and we’ll fine-tune it until it looks the way it should.

Yes, you can. We just ask that you send a sample first so we can inspect it. Some fabrics simply don’t work well for slipcovers, and we want to make sure the final result will look great and hold up over time.

aYou can send samples to our office at 58-25 Laurel Hill Blvd, 2nd Floor, Woodside, NY 11377. But give us a ring or an email, first, so that we can let you know if the fabric is something we can do.

Absolutely—and we recommend it.

Colors and textures can look different on a screen. Ordering a swatch first lets you see the fabric in your home and feel the quality before placing your order.

Your first four swatches are free. After that, we just charge $0.50 for each one to cover the cost of shipping.

Because each custom slipcover is made specifically for your furniture, we’re not able to accept standard returns.

That’s why we encourage customers to order swatches first and review our measurement guide carefully. And if the fit needs adjusting, we’ll work with you to fine-tune the cover so that you love it. That's our Perfect Fit Guarantee.

Not ours.

Our covers are designed to have a clean, tailored look—more like upholstery than a typical slipcover. Careful patterning and construction make a big difference.

Take a look at the care instructions, above.

While some fabrics are fine to throw in the wash, other do shrink a bit or get wrinkled after the wash. For example, even if you air dry, a hot day in Arizona could shrink a cotton blend cover so that it doesn't fit as well. It's always a good idea to spot clean or dry clean. If you're unsure, just give us a ring.

Custom slipcovers give you the same tailored, made-for-your-furniture look as reupholstery—without the cost, downtime, or hassle. Reupholstering can take 6+ weeks, often costs thousands of dollars, and it usually means transporting your furniture to and from a shop (which can also be very expensive). Our custom slipcovers are made to your exact measurements and ready to ship in about a week or less, so you’re not living without your sofa. They’re also far easier to live with—removable for cleaning, practical for everyday use, and simple to update if your style changes.

Yes! We work with a wide range of businesses, like hotel chains, corporate facilities managers, outdoor entertainment brands, and a wide range of interior designers. If you'd like to learn more about our Partner Program and special pricing, just reach out to sales@slipcovershop.com.
