This made-to-measure futon cover arrives in a gentle blush beige, somewhere between oatmeal and rose quartz. Under lamplight the pink undertone comes forward; in daylight it reads as a clean, warm neutral. The pile is plush and close-cropped, with a smooth, almost liquid hand—deeper than a woven fabric, with none of the shag of a long-pile plush. Soft on top, sturdy underneath. Dry cleaning is recommended, and brushing the pile back into line keeps it looking new. As velour goes, this one leans plush and warm, which makes it a natural in farmhouse spaces. It’s the fastest way to make a tired futon look like furniture again—and it comes right off when it needs a clean.
