Better materials.
Sturdy, practical, dependable—heavyweight duck canvas just feels solid. When you touch it, there’s structure. It doesn’t drape or collapse in your hand. It has a firm, tight weave you can almost see with your fingers, where subtle ridges running horizontally and vertically. Like a well-made tote bag or a classic work apron, it has that “built to last” feeling.

FAQs
Most slipcovers are made in about 5 business days in our Queens, NY workshop. Once it’s finished, we ship it right out. (We're New Yorkers so we've got to move fast.)
We offer free ground shipping on most orders. In many cases, you’ll have your new slipcover in as little as two weeks from the time you order.
Pretty much anything. Standard sofas, loveseats, sofa beds, chairs, sectionals, unusual shapes—we’ve seen a lot over the years. If you’re unsure, just send a few photos to sales@slipcovershop.com and we’ll let you know what’s possible. Some fabrics work better for wingbacks, for example, so we can point you in the right direction.
We can't do recliners, unfortunately (hard to sew around so many moving parts).
People choose a custom slipcover when they want their furniture to look great and last for years—not covered up. It’s the right move for odd sizes, loose or attached cushions, T-shaped seats, or anything a one-size cover can’t handle. It’s also how you refresh a worn sofa, protect it from pets or kids, match a new room, or upgrade the fabric without reupholstering. Each piece is made to your exact measurements, so the fit is clean, secure, and built to last.
Don’t worry. We don’t rely on measurements alone.
We also review your photos, tracings, and other details to double-check everything before your cover is made. Our team has made thousands of slipcovers and knows what to look for.
If you’d like help, we can schedule a quick video call and walk you through the whole process step-by-step. We’ll show you exactly what to measure and how to do it. Just give us a ring or email us at sales@slipcovershop.com.
We stand behind every cover we make.
If you’re not in love with the fit, send it back and we’ll fine-tune it until it looks the way it should. It's part of our Perfect Fit Guarantee.*
Yes, you can. We just ask that you send a sample first so we can inspect it. Some fabrics simply don’t work well for slipcovers, and we want to make sure the final result will look great and hold up over time.
You can send samples to our office at 58-25 Laurel Hill Blvd, 2nd Floor, Woodside, NY 11377. But give us a ring or an email, first, so that we can let you know if the fabric is something we can do.
Absolutely—and we recommend it.
Colors and textures can look different on a screen. Ordering a swatch first lets you see the fabric in your home and feel the quality before placing your order.
Your first four swatches are free. After that, we just charge $0.50 for each one to cover the cost of shipping.
Not ours.
Our covers are designed to have a clean, tailored look—more like upholstery than a typical slipcover. Careful patterning and construction make a big difference.
Take a look at the care instructions, above.
While some fabrics are fine to throw in the wash, other do shrink a bit or get wrinkled after the wash. For example, even if you air dry, a hot day in Arizona could shrink a cotton blend cover so that it doesn't fit as well. It's always a good idea to spot clean or dry clean. If you're unsure, just give us a ring.
Every slipcover is cut and sewn in Queens, New York by our experienced team.
We’ve been doing this for over 20 years, and careful craftsmanship still guides everything we make.
Custom slipcovers give you the same tailored, made-for-your-furniture look as reupholstery—without the cost, downtime, or hassle. Reupholstering can take 6+ weeks, often costs thousands of dollars, and it usually means transporting your furniture to and from a shop (which can also be very expensive). Our custom slipcovers are made to your exact measurements and ready to ship in about a week or less, so you’re not living without your sofa. They’re also far easier to live with—removable for cleaning, practical for everyday use, and simple to update if your style changes.
