Chenille is all about comfort. The soft, velvety surface has a plush feel that's inviting from the first touch, while the tight weave underneath provides enough structure to keep it from feeling overly delicate. It has a rich texture and subtle depth that adds warmth to a room, creating furniture that feels cozy, comfortable, and easy to sink into at the end of a long day.

Durability Rating

Durability Rating

Highly durable, heavyweight fabric.

Durability
Don't let the softness fool you—this tightly woven polyester chenille is built for everyday living. The durable polyester fibers help resist wear, while the dense construction provides better durability than many traditional chenille fabrics. It stands up well to regular use and performs nicely in busy households. While the textured surface can occasionally show pressure marks or shading depending on the direction of the pile, these are a normal characteristic of chenille and not a sign of wear.
Care Info
For routine care, vacuum gently using an upholstery attachment to keep the fabric looking fresh and to prevent debris from settling into the texture. Blot spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth, avoiding aggressive scrubbing that can disturb the chenille surface. Most covers can be machine washed on a gentle cycle in cold water and air dried or tumble dried with no heat. To maintain the fabric's softness and appearance, avoid high heat. Dry cleaning is strongly recommended.

Most custom armrest covers are made in about 5 business days in our Queens, NY workshop. Once it’s finished, we ship it right out. (We're New Yorkers so we've got to move fast.)

We offer free ground shipping on orders over $100. In many cases, you’ll have your new slipcover in as little as two weeks from the time you order.

Pretty much anything. If it has an arm, chances are we've created an armrest cover for it over the years. From dining chairs, office chairs, desk chairs, recliners, captain's chairs on a boat, RV drivers seats, sofas, loveseats, sofa beds, sectionals, unusual shapes—we’ve seen a lot over the years. If you’re unsure, just send a few photos to sales@slipcovershop.com and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

Yes, you can. We just ask that you send a sample first so we can inspect it. Some fabrics simply don’t work well for slipcovers, and we want to make sure the final result will look great and hold up over time.

aYou can send samples to our office at 58-25 Laurel Hill Blvd, 2nd Floor, Woodside, NY 11377. But give us a ring or an email, first, so that we can let you know if the fabric is something we can do.

Take a look at the care instructions, above.

While some fabrics are fine to throw in the wash, other do shrink a bit or get wrinkled after the wash. For example, even if you air dry, a hot day in Arizona could shrink a cotton blend cover so that it doesn't fit as well. It's always a good idea to spot clean or dry clean. If you're unsure, just give us a ring.

Don’t worry. We don’t rely on measurements alone.

We also review your photos, tracings, and other details to double-check everything before your cover is made. Our team has made thousands of slipcovers and knows what to look for.

If you’d like help, we can schedule a quick video call and walk you through the whole process step-by-step. We’ll show you exactly what to measure and how to do it. Just give us a ring or email us at sales@slipcovershop.com.

If we haven't shipped your order, just contact sales@slipcovershop.com or give us a call and we'll see if we can make make any modifications.

After we ship, because each custom slipcover is made specifically for your furniture, we’re not able to accept standard returns.

That’s why we encourage customers to order swatches first and review our measurement guide carefully. And if the fit needs adjusting, we’ll work with you to fine-tune the cover so that you love it. That's our Perfect Fit Guarantee.
