These are the second set of mattress covers and they are great. My first set were light blue denim material and after one or 2 washings the fabric appeared to be badly stained when there were no stains on them when put in the wash. I thought it was a fluke so tried to buy another set in the same fabric. They were no longer available so I'm thinking there was a problem with that particular fabric and color - perhaps the fabric was over-dyed and the original color was causing the stain like blotches. I am very happy with the cotton duck covers, disappointed with my first purchase
