Don't let the softness fool you—this tightly woven polyester chenille is built for everyday living. The durable polyester fibers help resist wear, while the dense construction provides better durability than many traditional chenille fabrics. It stands up well to regular use and performs nicely in busy households. While the textured surface can occasionally show pressure marks or shading depending on the direction of the pile, these are a normal characteristic of chenille and not a sign of wear.
Care Info
For routine care, vacuum gently using an upholstery attachment to keep the fabric looking fresh and to prevent debris from settling into the texture. Blot spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth, avoiding aggressive scrubbing that can disturb the chenille surface. Most covers can be machine washed on a gentle cycle in cold water and air dried or tumble dried on no heat. To maintain the fabric's softness and appearance, avoid high heat. Dry cleaning is strongly recommended.

Most cushion covers are made in about 5 business days in our Queens, NY workshop. Once it’s finished, we ship it right out. (We're New Yorkers so we've got to move fast.)
We offer free ground shipping on custom orders over $100. In many cases, you’ll have your new slipcover in as little as two weeks from the time you order.
Pretty much anything. We create custom cushion covers for outdoor patios and pool furniture, RVs, offices, and even boats (we have a big selection of all-weather fabrics). Standard sofas, loveseats, sofa beds, chairs, sectionals, unusual shapes—we’ve seen a lot over the years. If you’re unsure, just send a few photos to sales@slipcovershop.com and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
We can't do recliners, unfortunately (hard to sew around so many moving parts).

If the cushion is especially complex or unique, we also review your photos, tracings, and other details to double-check everything before your cover is made. Our team has made thousands of slipcovers and knows what to look for.

While some fabrics are fine to throw in the wash, other do shrink a bit or get wrinkled after the wash. For example, even if you air dry, a hot day in Arizona could shrink a cotton blend cover so that it doesn't fit as well. It's always a good idea to spot clean or dry clean. If you're unsure, just give us a ring.
Because each custom slipcover is made specifically for your furniture, we’re not able to accept standard returns.
That’s why we encourage customers to order swatches first and review our measurement guide carefully. And if the fit needs adjusting, we’ll work with you to fine-tune the cover so that you love it. That's our Perfect Fit Guarantee.
